The Critical SCM project required the existing Ninian Central SSIV control system to be replaced, extending the life and improving the reliability of the control system. This required key components of the control system to be replaced including numerous hydraulic and electrical jumpers, subsea control module and a new controls umbilical between the control pod and Ninian Central Platform.

Smart Subsea Solutions provided client representation for the full duration of the work where key responsibilities were to manage permits to implement hydraulic and electrical isolations to allow for the safe replacement of components subsea.
