Ninian Central is part of the Ninian development which lies approximately 386km North-Northeast of Aberdeen and is located in blocks 3/3 an 3/8a in the UK North Sea.

Smart Subsea Solutions provided Project Management and Technical Support during the Mobilisation phase of the 2019 Ninian Central Platform Based ROV. This required the mobilisation of two Falcon observation ROV’s as well as the necessary equipment to launch and recover the ROV’s at two launch sites.

The launch and recovery systems were integrated on the cellar deck of the Platform to allow for both internal and external inspections to be performed.
Continual interaction was required with the offshore Subsea Contractor, Facilities Engineers, Structural TA and CNR lifting TA to arrive at a suitable equipment setup and during hook-up to platform services and function testing.
